Singapore Demo Day

Powering a Net-Zero Future

Thursday February 23, 2023, 3:00 PM (SGT)

Join us on this journey towards Powering a Net-Zero Future, where seven Singapore start-ups will showcase their leading-edge solutions that aim to help businesses move together towards a decarbonised future.

Welcome to the Singapore Demo Day 2023

The Singapore chapter of Shell’s global start-up programme, Shell StartUp Engine, brings together some of the best minds in energy to create real, sustainable change.

Shell Singapore is playing our part to thrive through the energy transition. In line with the company’s global targets, we will halve our own emissions from our operations in 2030 from 2016 levels.

The transformation that we are embarking on is unprecedented for the industry here. We have reduced our production of traditional fuels in Singapore, including halving our crude processing capacity. We are offering our customers low-carbon and circular solutions, ranging from EV charging to sustainable aviation fuel. We are also developing plans to set up a carbon capture and storage hub, which would capture and safely store emissions for Shell and its customers in the region.

Shell StartUp Engine

Shell StartUp Engine is Shell’s global acceleration programme that helps energy related start-ups validate and test business models and technologies that address challenges emerging from the energy transition.

The Singapore Chapter is a local track of the global programme that is focused on decarbonisation and works with Singapore-based start-ups. This track is delivered in partnership with the Energy Market Authority and Startupbootcamp.

Each of the partners brings their own expertise, experience and credibility to the programme, creating more value and impact for the start-ups.
