The Problem:

The work being done for Net Zero climate targets is rapidly accelerating. COP28 achievements mandated that renewable capacity needs to triple globally in the next 6 years, with wind energy capacity to grow by nearly 75%. This is compounded by a 70% gap in global current and future wind manufacturing capabilities and grid power delays with ageing infrastructure and over 3,000GW of renewable energy in connection queues globally.

The Solution:

A rapid role out of affordable, point-of-use renewable electricity is required. Katrick Technologies’ Wind Panel is a flexible, modular, and scalable solution that captures and converts turbulent ground-level gust winds into viable carbon-free electricity. From hillsides to roadsides, airports to ports, industrial estates, wind farms, and residences our Wind Panel can be placed in locations where conventional wind turbines cannot.

The Differentiator:

We don’t rotate, we oscillate. Our innovative Wind Panel technology is a unique solution that combines the use of independently-acting aerofoils with a quick response time to effectively capture turbulent ground-level gust winds. Its ducted design enables an internal acceleration of wind speed by up to 50%, delivering higher electrical outputs. Currently, there are no other technologies on the market that utilise these design features to effectively capture wind energy.

Biggest Achievement:

As a pre-revenue startup company, we have been able to achieve so many accolades in the short time we have been operating. Our technology validation during TRL 6 testing led to a BBC Click interview which aired in December 2023 and thus resulted in a Number 10 Downing Street invite for our CEO. Equally as important was securing a soft order from Edinburgh Airport, Scotland’s largest airport, for 3,000 units (£6 million) of our Wind Panels.
