Gerald Foo

I’ve had a diverse career starting in Shell’s Downstream business in New Zealand, before moving onto various commercial roles which have allowed me to live and work in 3 continents, covering over 20 countries. I’m also a husband, father of two, Star Wars nerd, and a global nomad at heart. I’m energized by new experiences, connections, and ideas, and have a particular interest in sustainability. Our industry is responsible for a significant portion of global emissions, and so we have an outsized role to play in being part of the solution. Over the past few years, I’ve been actively seeking and deploying solutions that help decarbonise industries that we supply, as well as actively supporting start-up programmes that focus on sustainable development. That journey led me to join a tech startup - Connected Freight - which was initially incubated within Shell, and subsequently spun out as a separate venture. I look forward to meeting you!
